What the extension does

One-click save — Click the Folded icon in your toolbar to save the current page. Done.
⌨️
Keyboard shortcut — Press Ctrl+Shift+S (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+S (Mac) to save without touching the mouse.
🖱️
Right-click menu — Right-click on any link and choose "Save to Folded" to save without visiting the page.
📋
Recent saves — The popup shows your 5 most recently saved articles with quick links to read them.
🔒
Secure — Uses your existing Folded login. No separate passwords. Extension works over HTTPS only.

How to install (while we wait for Chrome Web Store approval)

📋 Note: The Folded extension is submitted to the Chrome Web Store and awaiting approval. In the meantime, you can install it manually in under 2 minutes using "Developer mode" — this is safe and standard practice.

Download the extension

Download the Folded extension ZIP file:

⬇️ Download folded-extension.zip

Then unzip it to a folder on your computer (remember where you put it).

Open Chrome Extensions

In Chrome, go to:

chrome://extensions

Or click the three-dot menu → More Tools → Extensions.

Enable Developer Mode

In the top right of the Extensions page, toggle on "Developer mode". This lets you install extensions from your computer.

Load the extension

Click "Load unpacked" → select the unzipped folded-extension folder. The Folded icon will appear in your toolbar.

Log in and start saving

Click the Folded icon. If you're not already logged in to Folded in Chrome, you'll be prompted to log in. Then save away — press the icon or use Ctrl+Shift+S.
